Quality Management System Office (QMS Office) was founded on 2014 July 28. Dr.Win Zaw was assigned as the Quality Management Representative (QMR) by Rector. Current Quality Management Representative is Dr.Kyaw Wuna assigned by Rector on 2015 May 20.
At the time, Quality Management System Office’s main responsibility was to implement the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2008 standard and to carry out certification process.
On 2015 June 18, ISO 9001:2008 certificate was awarded by Bureau Veritas Co., Ltd after successfully assessed by BV External Auditors. Bureau Veritas issued the certificate number TH007457 with the scope of “Provision of Undergraduate Engineering Education and Training Services”.
At present, QMS Office is responsible for not only QMS affairs but also all QA matters of TTU. QMR has completed the ASEAN-QA training on Internal Quality Assurance (Train IQA from July 2015 to February 2016) and the other QMS members have completed QA-related trainings. AUN-QA quality system has been already set up.
Another area we QMS personals emphasize is Accreditation and therefore QMS Office takes responsibility in Accreditation process of TTU. Our one of the quality objectives is to apply Accreditation of engineering education recognized by National Engineering Education Accreditation Committee, Myanmar Engineering Council.
QMS Office is conducting training to teachers and staff for continual improvement and quality awareness. QMS Office is trying to do its best in order to fulfill the vision and mission of TTU with the best practices of QA.
To become internationally recognized, high-ranking university that educates highly qualified engineers and architects in building the nation towards the development of Myanmar.
To contribute to the development of our nation and society through the pursuit of engineering education with high international standing and training the human resource developments for local needs.
